Hello from WI. I'm quite new to this whole online dating scene. I've spent my entire adult life as a committed family man. I've been divorced now for about 3 1/2 years & have only just begun to see myself as emotionally healthy enough to treat someone else as I would like to be treated myself. I am determined not to be careless with another's heart & will take the time to find someone who's perceptive empathy shows their ability to truly appreciate my unique beauty. I believe that love is a gift. It doesn't seek it's own objectives, but rather the opportunity to be a conduit of God's blessing to another. I believe God is the source of every good thing & that He seeks to bring the healing presence of Himself into our lives through the intentional actions that those who love Him make. He isn't pushy, but allows us to reap enough of what we sow to experience the difference between choosing to trust His ways as truly best or not to. When He says "don't", he is saying "don't hurt yourself or someone else". I want to live my life in a way that brings the "good gifts" of enlightenment, compassion & mercy that He has graciously bestowed on me to those He puts in my path. I depend on Him for everything. The depth of my experiences & the appreciation of the Faith & Hope He's put in my heart are only evident to me because of His love for me. I'm a Christian & that as such could only walk "side by side" with someone who has a similar appreciation for the Lord. I have a ten yr. old girl. I won't leave her side until she goes off to collage. I want to find someone who is intentional about making their life a vehicle of blessing to others & wants a partner in the process. I work out & try to eat healthy. I do so because I want to look & feel as good as I can. I don't ever again want to be undisciplined & self indulgent (I lost 55lbs over the last couple of years). I want a partner who is able to exercise enough self control to maintain a petite physique. i want to find someone who is willing to embrace "our" future. Who's eager to be a part of my development into the man of God that He's calling me to be & willing to open themselves up to "casting their lot" with me. I have been gifted with a keen mind & a sensitive soul and hope to find someone who will welcome the self-sacrificial, protective spiritual nurturing that God calls a husband to provide his bride. The beauty of marriage is the commitment that allows us to be "naked & unashamed". I see so many marriages that digress into strife & envy. Even those that are functional are often littered with competitive power struggles & manipulative coercion. I want a union at the heart level with someone who truly believes me to be motivated by God's call on me to lay my life down in their best interests. In fact, the kind of marriage I want is not possible without each partners deep & abiding commitment first to the Lord. Don't respond to this profile if you're heart isn't already His.
