Originally from Washington, D.C., I came back to Virginia when my son was going to school at Quantico while he was going through a divorce. He is stationed at Cherry Point, NC, and I have decided to stay in Fredericksburg.

I live in a boarding house where we who live here get along amazingly well considering we are of all different ages, backgrounds, and nationalities. There has been quite a bit of turnover, but the good spirit here remains constant, so I will stay here until I can afford an apartment in a senior complex.

I appreciate humor and try to look at life this way with a little help from God and my friends.

My last dog died, but I miss him very much and hope to move where I can have another one. If you have a dog, that is great!

I was married a long time ago. My husband had two sons who lived with us, and then we had another boy. I dated someone for 13 years after my divorce. More recently, I had a 2-year relationship.

I have worked as a ward secretary, employment counselor and medical transcriptionist. Now, I live a pretty simple life that I enjoy, but miss a man with whom to share experiences and the details of our lives.

Someone who is not afraid to communicate in a "stream of consciousness" way, so the other person always knows what he is thinking, positive or negative. I believe this is the only way to keep a relationship going and allow for resolving conflicts. I am working on developing this quality myself. I also look for a man who is willing to work on solving problems in a calm way.
I also look for masculinity with gentleness and a sense of humor.
