I Would Describe Myself As
I love outdoor adventures. I'm a phlegmatic melancholy and enjoy being alone almost as much as being with a friend. I love deep conversations, and I love to talk about God. I'm very honest and logical. I am very close with my family. Getting into the mountains is a necessity for me. I don't enjoy the "normal" activities of people my age; I don't feel comfortable in bars, I don't like concerts, and I don't like wasting money on movies or bowling, etc. I'm not a materialistic girl, and I would sell all I have in a heartbeat. I love to be outside and to find new hobbies and activities to learn and do. Lately I've decided to teach myself how to fish and row a boat, pottery, crocheting, and am soon to take up mountain biking. My pomeranian, Woobie, is my travel-sized companion and goes with me on almost all my adventures. The world is so full of fun things to learn and do, and I would love to find someone to have adventures with. Unfortunately, some adventures are just too tricky for a single female to learn alone.
I do play basic guitar and have written songs that express my heart for God. I've spent a little over 2 weeks on the Appalachian Trail and have worn in the few local trails around me. Since January I have become very interested in nutrition and health, so I'm a work in progress and loving the journey. I want to live life to the fullest, and I hate the phrase, "Well, you've got to die of something." I am a nurse, but I don't like my job right now... it's so stressful. I also love to travel and am open to the Lord sending me overseas as a missionary, though I'm leaving my future completely in His hands. I don't know how I ended up in the middle of Alabama. It's the absolute last place on earth I want to be (other than Mississippi.) So while I'm learning contentment, I am very excited to see where God will lead me next.
I'm not necessarily expecting to find my husband here, but I'm keeping the doors open until the Lord shuts them. We'll see.

What Do You Look For?
I'm looking for friends, and ultimately a husband who I can partner with in life... and life in Christ. After 26 years, I've narrowed down what I'm looking for in a husband to 4 basic things: someone with a real relationship with Jesus Christ, a desire for leadership, a heart for ministry, and most importantly there just has to be that peace from the Lord. That has always narrowed down the options quite a bit for me, especially the peace one. But I'm not looking for perfection. Just a man with a heart after God's heart and who will love and lead me... and who has the approval of my heavenly Father (and earthly one too). :)
What Kind Of Relationship Are You Seeking?
Friend, Committed
