I have a physical disability called Cerebral Palsy (CP). It affects the speech center and motor functions of my brain. My mental capacity is fine. I was born with CP. The doctors told my parents that I wouldn't be able to walk or even go to school. Through the support of my family and friends, I've accomplished many things that people have told me that I couldn't. I can walk, snow-ski, parasail, fly gliders, and even have a driver's license. I also am an Eagle Scout and graduated from the University of Washington with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. I currently have a great job working at the corporate home office at Costco Wholesale working in the Risk Management Department. I can be stubborn at times. I'm persistent and a thrill seeker. Basically if someone tells me that I can't do something, that gives me motivation to do it. My friends treat me like someone who hasn't a disability because once they get to know me, they can see me for who I really am, just a nice guy with the same hopes and aspirations as anyone else.
