Hi, I'm Steve.

I have joined this site to meet someone who has a balanced outlook on life, with home, Church and work being treated equally, while also having a sense of fun, caring, family life and loving. I prefer someone who likes conversation, understanding and listens, is attentive, tactile, demonstrative, willing to travel and share life's ups and downs. I would like someone to make me feel wanted and loved and would like to be loved in return.

I was born in the North East and brough up in Halifax, but I now live near Derby (no accent of any sort - a bit of a mongrel!). I had a grammar school education and attended a college of further education for 5 years. I am self-taught and rise to a challenge.

I work as a Technical Author (writer) in an engineering environment. I have been an engineer all my life, but technical writing has taken me into many environments, where I have been in touch with all manner of people and all manner of machinery and systems. I have a very inquisitive nature. I am happy with my work and in life generally and just want to share the precious moments with someone special. Could that be you?

I have not travelled abroad in recent years, but yearn to do so now. However, I love the UK and the delights that we have in our own back yard. I would love to spend some time in the Alps or the Italian Lakes, but I am open to suggestions and offers. I would like to see the Aurora Borealis (Northern Lights), but not alone!

I like walking, sightseeing, motoring, visiting friends and family, motorcycling, fly fishing (nice trout for the freezer - sometimes!), dining in and out, cooking, holding hands and being part of a couple.

I am passionate about my job and seeing that people are treated with respect. I love my family and have many good memories, but I'm passionate about creating some more. I want to share and develop my faith with a special person.
