Quirky but will grow on you - honest!

Ik beschrijf mezelf als:

I'm a widowed mum of one, my life currently revolves around a small 9 year old who seems to have more hobbies than should be humanly possible, however, if that initial sentence hasn't put you off here is a little more about me :O)

I love all things sci-fi and unfortunately spent far too many of my formative years engrossed in Mills and Boon novels which has of course left some psychological scars and some seriously skewed ideas of romance - lol

I'm a sadly loyal type but a little eccentric, have a completely warped and dry sense of humor and generally up for anything, slightly spontaneous but also slightly OCD (entering Primark and TK Max causes me to have palpitations .... would it kill them to lay things out in more symmetrical manner? I could draw them a plan layout if it would help)

I love all things geeky and get paid to talk about databases all day long which is my idea of heaven! I'm Widowed mum of one and my idea of removing stress is to bake and cook, neither of which is good for the old weight watchers diet however, I have discovered that fellow academics respond well to trays of muffins appearing in the staff room :O) I love music and play Sax, Clarinet and Sing, I also teach singing (main job is lecturing in computing at a uni)

Serious animal lover it s a case of 'love me ... love my cat' but she is a bug cuddly fur ball so she's easy to love (provided you are prepared to spend hours stroking her) I love to read or do sadly girly things like sew or draw, spend most of my time running around driving the mum taxi or waiting for dance classes to end but in the rare moments of free time love to go to shows and theatre. Not the most mobile of females (...... ok I have to use a stick and may wobble a little) but this doesn't stop me spending the summer in a tent occupying a child and hiking, SLOWLY! around the lakes or wherever i'm trying to get to.

I'm a local preacher in the methodist church and come from a family that is a scary combination of Methodist and Welsh Baptist.

I'm a a little quirky but that just adds to the charm - lol I'm normally up for most things and am quite impulsive, I try to be non-judgmental and open minded because I don't believe its my place to judge, that comes from a much higher place. My Faith is central to my life and I try to show Gods love through me (not that I always succeed)

Good heavens, I've just read that back and I sound slightly insane, I'm not that bad honest!
