This part is probably the hardest thing to do... I'm a 35 year old man, divorced, father of three beautiful children. First and foremost, please allow me to express to you the importance of my children in my life. They are my life now. If children are not of interest to you, please move on.
Now that I've got that off of my chest... let's move on, shall we?
I believe in God, and through him all things are possible. I am thankful to my ex, as she brought him into my life. My relationship with him needs to be rejuvenated, continued, and shared with my partner. I will and am trying to remain a positive, christian influence to my children.
I was married to a wonderful woman for 12 years. The reason for our separation will be shared with you at another time and place and not in a public forum as such. Lessons have been learned and I have learned much. I'm only trying this on-line dating thing, from a curiosity stand point. If something were to come from this, wonderful.
I am 35, and not into the bar scene. An enjoyable evening to me is watching House Hunters on HGTV, or Dirty Jobs on Discovery or listening to my children crack up while watching Sponge Bob, ...all the while sharing a tub of Ben & Jerry's ice cream with you! My kids love to play board games, and I hope you do as well. They enjoy camping, as do I. They are learning to enjoy the outdoors, as I'm starting to get them fishing and hunting. My boys and I, enjoy watching pretty much any type of sports program, but mostly football. My daughter loves having tea parties and getting her nails painted. Being that I live in Tennessee, this might not improve my chances of finding a date, but I need you to know that I am a Gators fan! Perhaps it might be a friendly rivalry! I also am a Steelers fan. Go Burgh!
As for what I'm looking for in a woman... I'm not seeking for a replacement mother for my children. They have a mommy already, and she's a darn good one. Motherhood is one of the qualities for which I give her credit for. From my partner, I seek a Godly woman, to give me her friendship, trust, patience, kindness, and respect, as I will give to her all the same in return. To you, I will give my all. You will be cherished. You will not be taken granted of. You will be respected. You will not be lie to. After my children, you will be number one to me. There will be no need for you to have any mistrust, disbelief, or have doubts about were you stand in my life. Through my past experience, I've learned that partners should never go to bed upset at one another. This will be one of the foundations through which I/we will live by. Arguments will come and arguments will go. I firmly believe that there is a skill in argumentative conversation. You will not be yelled at or disrespected in any way, and I would appreciate the same.
If you're looking for someone who is into arts and literature, rich, drinks champagne or drives expensive cars, ...keep going. If you're looking for someone to cut up with, share a beer with(hey, ...Jesus drank wine, right?), who is spontaneous, will enjoy every aspect that life throws at us, share God together, and will keep you on the highest podium of my life...drop me a line.
