Friendly, newly retired woman who is looking for the next steps in life. I taught Special Education for over 20 years, all in the Seattle area. I have a teenaged daughter who is the focus of my world. We love being silly, hanging out, going out to the free/cheap community events of summer. I'm not interested in relocating until after she enters college. I'm a bit shy at first but love to laugh and try new things -- sang karaoke for the 1st time a week ago. Am reconnecting with friends from high school -- how did so many years float by? I love to read, like to cook, willing to check out new spots to eat, enjoy flowers -- even if I have to walk through the weeds to get them! Roses and peonies are my favorites, but all blooms show me God's creation and bring me a smile. Ready for a partner in life who has struggled some in order to appreciate the good times. Would like to take some trips - wine country in Eastern WA; hit the Lavendar Festival on the peninsula; visit the Makah reservation for fabulous hiking, smoked salmon, the cultural museum. I love the water and relaxing, watching the sun come up or watching the sun go down. Trust and compassion for others are a must. Ready for a friendship that grows into a romance?
