I have in the past been asked how, given some major disappointments in my life, I can have a spring in my step...It's not happiness. it's Joy! ...I've learned that joy, unlike happiness, is not dependant on my circumstance. It's something that takes root in our hearts. It's what enables us to bounce back after being punched( like that silly inflatable clown that you punch, watch it blow over, only to rise up again.) My joy comes from my identity as a child of God, the creator of my heart. My value comes not from what I do, but who I am, a beloved daughter of the King!

To be 'equally yoked' is my top priority! I'm interested in meeting someone who loves the Lord & has as a priority knowing Him personally; someone who recognizes the sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross as the only atonement for our sin nature, & allows the Holy Spirit to reside in & have an impact on his heart. Someone who 'gets it' that we we live a certain way not because we want to be 'saved' but because we ARE saved, & that gratitude fosters an allegiance to Him and his kingdom... While I am only interested in meeting someone who lives with integrity, & is dependable(once married to a gambler), I'd also like to know someone who's in touch with their inner child & lives with passion! Passion is something we can bring to every aspect of our life, whether it be work, a good meal with friends, or simple things like watching ants on a sidewalk or laughing at 'duck butt' as they dive for food. I'm interested in meeting a true child of God!
