I Would Describe Myself As
Well, I'm 24, single, and am looking to meet Christian singles. Let me tell you why I'm looking here.
It's not that I have a problem meeting people. I'm not awkward or shy; I'm fairly good looking and make great conversation. My 'problem' is that I get in the friend zone and never get out. Yeah, I'm that guy, the one girls don't find 'attractive' because he's 'just a friend'.
I know the reason girls don't like dating their friends, and it usually boils down to one of two things; either the fear of losing a good friendship, or a lack of chemistry due to strong initial feelings wearing off. This kills guys like me.
It's very frustrating living in this position. I grew up being told, "Jesse, if you listen, if you put others first, if you're a man of honesty, character, and truth, one day you'll find someone who sees the man you are and falls in love with that. You can be the kind of man the world needs more of."
Do you know what's sad? When I think about the little crushes I had when I was small, as well as the crushes others had on me, I realize that children did a better job of showing unconditional love, of recognizing character and integrity and loving it for what it is regardless of looks or chemistry than adults.
My complaint is this. Girls tell me there is no chemistry, but give me no chance to create any. For all who expect to find it, take a good hard look at the fact that relationships with chemistry don't always start out that way.
So, here's my question. Are there any women out there that would like to get to know me? There's no guarantee we'll find anything more than a good friendship together, but you never know. Here's a little bit to let you know more about me.
I love playing guitar, campfires, and writing songs. I love late nights in the summer, going for walks as the evening cools, and just talking about anything. Most of the time I get a bit more introspective at night, so expect deeper conversations then;)
I run heavy equipment, motor scrapers, and I love my job. There's nothing I've ever done that's been as intense. I know it sounds like I don't get out much, but get to know me and I'll tell you all about what makes it so exiting.
I have no interest in sports at all, but if I met a girl who liked watching sports, I'd take the time to learn about it. I also can?t stand getting home from work and watching TV. Let's get out and do something, even if it's just a walk or sitting on the patio, it's better than TV.
That being said, I do enjoy watching TV series on box sets. My favorites are Battle Star Galactica, Firefly, and Heroes.
I play video games some times. I know that's a turn off for most women, but hear me out. Guys give video games a bad name because they have no self-control, and usually they avoid relationships and responsibilities when they play games. That is NOT how I role. I only play video games when I have NOTHING else to do, or if it's something everyone wants to do.
I love nice cloths. I know, it doesn't sound very manly, but there's nothing like going out and finding cloths that you absolutely love to wear.
I'm bad with special things like birthdays and anniversaries. I think I struggle in this area because I honestly could care less if someone bought me a gift or gave me a card. Those things don't mean much to me, so it's hard for me to relate with the fact that they mean a lot to others. Still, that's not something I use as an excuse, just a reality that you'll have to deal with me working through if you get to know me.
That's a lot of information, so thanks for taking the time to read it. All the best, I hope you've enjoyed getting to know me, and seeing my perspective on so many things
