I Would Describe Myself As
My friends might best describe me as kindhearted, supportive, faithful and a loyal and treasured friend. You know, the kind of friend that you call in the middle of the night, or the one who shows up for the good as well as the not so good, etc. I am sensitive, caring, have a great sense of humor and am a great listener as well. I have many lifelong friends but I love making new friends too! I am educated, self-aware, flexible, spontaneous and love to have FUN! I have a very positive outlook on life. I am financially stable, generous with my time and resources and love helping people build their businesses. I'm active, in excellent health and take very good care of myself.
I love being with my family, and have many life-long friendships that give me strength and hope. I really enjoy meaningful conversations, hiking the beautiful waterfalls in the Columbia Gorge, reading, worship concerts, live music of all kinds, sporting events, spontaneous road trips, wine-tasting, good food and traveling!!!
I enjoy entertaining, antiquing and repurposing fabulous things for my home. I love the story behind vintage and antique things, especially when they are passed down through families ... I enjoy connecting with people and discovering God's story in their life's journey, and sharing mine.
I am looking for a great guy with a great sense of humor to keep us all laughing, who enjoys family, and has life-long friendships too. That someone is a faithful friend and follower of Jesus who values grace, forgiveness and the unrelenting Love that never fails. It would be awesome if he also shares my passion to occasionally "travel with a purpose" exploring other cultures on short term missions.
What I'm looking for in a relationship is first of all a great friend that will grow to become my best friend and partner someday ... (all in good time ;-). My marriage has taught me how to love deeply and be committed through the good times and the not so good. Communication is key, forgiveness is undoubtedly essential to bypass resentment, bitterness and judgment, walking together in grace. A great relationship manages to make it because BOTH have made a decision not to give up or quit.
I have spent the majority of my life working in and with non-profits... 15 years of church planting, served on leadership teams and ministry staff, started a non-profit, and also have started 2 business of my own. I Love The Church...His Bride... (as messed up as she is, He died for her and will return someday YAY!). I will be faithful to serve in His house for the rest of my life. My hope is to find a partner that will share that love for serving together, touching the lives of people, making a difference... living out our individual gifting and uniqueness while developing a meaningful purposeful relationship together.
PS. If I've viewed your profile and 'liked' it, let's start up a conversation. Please feel free to wink back or email me. I am extending myself here to invite the possibility of meeting new friends and hopefully my life long partner. If that is where you are too, we should make the most out of this opportunity don't you think? I'm looking forward to meeting you!
What have past relationships taught me?
How to love deeply and be committed through the good times and the not so good. Humor brings much greater acceptance and understanding to the challenge of being in relationship with one another. Embracing personal growth and change has powerfully impacted my past relationships and I believe will continue in the future.
To me, being a Christian means...
I am so thankful for my foundation as a believer in Jesus. I am unwavering in my choice to follow Him to the best of my ability. I love Him and am confident that He is with me no matter what challenges come my way. My faith is at the core of who I am and am looking for the same quality in my new relationships as well.
