Before you decide you want to take someone on a date, I think you should know a little about them. Hanging out in groups is an ideal atmosphere to know if you want to know someone on a more personal level. Invite your potential to a church event, a bible study, or a gathering of friends. After spending sometime with that person you can than consider a first date, which should be a dinner, coffee, or hanging out somewhere you think your date would enjoy and where you can engage in conversation.
