Me describiría a mi mismo como
Most of my life I’ve been in an exciting blend of Christian ministry and various entrepreneurial endeavours. As I look back over my last fifty years – in Christianity, in business, in ministry and even in the ordeals of life I can see that virtually every episode in those fifty years has been used to prepare me for what I am “yet” to do – in this ministry.
In 2011 I founded two corporations along with five websites and countless pages of support material. One corporation has an emphasis on Bible teaching and evangelism; the other has more emphasis to minister to the more temporal needs (finance, health, family and relationship) of people’s lives. From 2012 until early 2019 I was focused on my writing. I deferred efforts for evangelism, expansion, fundraising, etc. Over the years I’ve written over 10 major books (in excess of 4,000 pages in 8x11 formats).
In 2015 I had three stroke “episodes” which most certainly have encumbered and delayed my “comeback”. During this period I suffered from with aphasia, challenges speech, word retrieval, short term memory loss, problems with math/numbers and fatigue. Like many other stroke victims some of my abilities have been impaired, but my basic intelligence has remained the same. However, gone are the days of being a public speaker. I know I still have much I can still do with what I do have. But now, post stroke, I needed to adopt a different perspective. Now I strive to “Never put off till tomorrow that which you can get someone else to do today”. Hence part of my goals and plans are to build a team of writers, speakers, teachers and others for “The Evangelism Team”.
Now, in early 2019, I am at “the point of new beginnings” – a new startup. Now it’s time to begin the next phases of developing this dynamic Christian ministry. Ahead is an enormous undertaking, but God willing, it will happen! It’s said that it takes three elements to make a successful endeavour: the right plan, the right people and the right money. We have “the right” plan. Now we need “the right people” and to assemble the “Evangelism Team”.
Unabashedly, a fundamental aspect of this is to secure a “helpmeet” – a marriage partner who also has a fervent passion for serving God together in “our” ministries. Over the years I have both seen and tasted of couples who worked together in business or ministry endeavours. Many of them had the kind of fun and purpose filled marriages and lives that I also wanted to share with that someone special.
What am I looking for? Regarding looks, my “perfect” mate would be attractive and “classy”. Effective use of cosmetics, hair styling and clothing are far more important than height or weight. Regarding nature, my “perfect” mate would be outgoing, easily mixing with people (and enjoying it). She would also be optimistic, ambitious and even daring. At the same time she would be kind and thoughtful. Regarding background, my “perfect” mate would have likely have grown up in a similar background and lived a similar life with experience in either or both business and ministry. I’m looking for a soulmate in four ways: physical, mental, emotional and spiritual. There has to be physical attraction, most certainly (what she does with what she’s got than what she starts with). There also must be a mental affinity, being able to talk freely about concepts and ideas. Very important is the “emotional” soulmate aspects (things like verbal affection, support, etc.) And, of course, the spiritual soulmate aspects are most critical (including the aforementioned sharing of ministry together.
