Of course, we’ll need to meet in person to really get a true sense of each other, but this is a place to start, right?

A few of my qualities (probably not much different from others you’ve seen, but, hey, we’re all trying to put our best foot forward): honest, caring, forgiving, organized, loyal, curious, positive, creative, independent-thinking, self-confident, spiritual, practical, and fun-loving.

Some of the things that are important to me: faith, fitness, family, and friends. (Sorry about the alliteration—it just happened that way.)

Some of the activities I enjoy: creating art, listening to music (especially live music), going to art museums, attending festivals, visiting my kids and grandkids, cooking for those I care about, being involved in my faith community, reading, practicing my guitar (I’m a rank amateur!), staying fit, eating healthy, traveling to new and interesting places, day trips to funky small Texas towns, gardening, riding my bike (not competitively), hiking nature trails, and interior design.

I own my own home. I’m not wealthy, but I’m financially independent. I’m looking for friendship, not someone to rescue me.

If you’re retired, you volunteer or otherwise find a reason to get up in the morning. Curiosity about the world and a desire to learn more. Open-minded and willing to listen to opposing viewpoints.

Generous, dependable and reliable. A reader and a good communicator. Enjoyment of at least some of the same activities I like.

Okay, I know this is pretty daunting, but you’ll notice that the ability to walk on water isn’t on the list. I’m willing to let that one go.
