It is my heart's desire to finish the race God has set before me strong.
Matthew 25:23 says, "His master replied, 'Well done, good and faithful servant.'
The companion I seek know these words well, and desire the same for their own life.
I am a man of my word, and this hasn’t always come easy. Being in God’s will can certainly have its challenges. I am a practical man more then the academic type. My motto remains, where’s there’s a will, there’s a way. This has included various design projects, executed entirely on my own or delegated to those better suited to the task. I have enjoyed biking, kayaking, sailing, carpet bowling and billiards, though best in the company of friends. In my down time, I enjoy a good movie rather than a good book. I enjoy healthy food, and some sort of exercise routine which of late has been walking 10 laps of the local track.
I am looking for a partner to do life with, the good, the bad and the ugly. After all, isn’t that what most of us are looking for? I tend towards being open and honest and love to share what’s going on in my life, including the JOY, the struggle and ultimately the growth. As for personal growth, I have forgiven those in my past who have hurt me and will continue doing so. One of my favorite Bible verses is Philippians 3:13b-14 – “Forgetting what is behind and straining towards what is ahead, (14) I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.” Being honest and authentic has been part of my DNA as far back as I can remember, and I would expect the same from my life partner.
I came to faith in Jesus Christ at age 50, with baggage only our Lord could resolve. In spite of my stubborn pride at times, I know where my help comes from. Jesus, Yeshua, (God who saves) has saved me time and time again. He sent me to Israel in the late 70’s (my late 20’s) to live on a kibbutz for seven months to learn to love Israel and His chosen people, and then to Uganda, Africa in 2018/19 to the answer I had long sought “what’s a good life,” i.e. to bring glory to God !! God is my everything, and ought to be my partners’ as well. I believe in the inerrancy of Scripture (without error or fault in its teaching), and that the New and Old Testaments are the inspired, infallible Word of God, and my partner believes the same.
