Thanks to God, the best is yet to come.... I seek God's guidance to find the right person who shares my spiritual values. Now that I am retired (June 2018) from 25 years of public school teaching, there is a big opening in my life to serve God through the healing ministries I participate in and lead. Since I have been saved personally by Jesus six years ago, all things have been made new in my life, and I live by, and am obedient to, the Word. I deeply value Christian fellowship and my walk with the Lord. My church family (spiritual family) sustains me and provides the network of love so important to people like me without family nearby. I practice outreach and partner with other Christian churches and ministries. Every day I practice being a better person than I was the day before, so that I can add value to people who are in my life. I have one son who lives in LA, a good 200 mile drive, so visits are every couple of months. He's my only relative on the West Coast, and I have a sister and cousins back East, where I just returned from visiting. I'm pretty facile with one-liners, and often others will say, "Good one, Eve!" - or else they'll groan. So yes, my persona is light and happy. On the other hand, I am a deep and philosophical thinker. Levity balanced by depth of character. Emotional and financial stability are two values I've cultivated in myself and would be looking for in a partner. I have done much to examine my life and improve by learning from past mistakes but not dwelling there.... Art, singing, guitar, dancing are favorite pastimes. I love to cook with or for my partner, and would like him to feel the same way. About the one I'm looking for... My partner would have a strong faith in God and be family-oriented. We like being home together by the fire, but we go out also, maybe dinner on the wharf, or a concert event or dancing? You enjoy music and possibly play an instrument. You are focused and passionate about your own career, but flexible enough to take time off to go hiking, biking, kayaking, play tennis, or attend an event. I'd just like to add... We are interested and active in our personal growth, knowing that a love relationship is a great gift and that we are each other's mirror. Differences inevitably arise, but we work it out, knowing that taking action in the moment to air feelings is healthier than covering them up.
