The chief end of man is to glorify God and enjoy Him forever. I like to get out and see the handiwork of God, locally or afar, while I still use my skills to serve others. For years I served my church family at Wonder Bible Chapel (on 199, a little West of Wilderville) as a song-leading Elder and Bible teacher. I serve my state as an officer in the Constitution Party of Oregon. I have two grown children and nine grandchildren. I lost my one and only to cancer in 2017 after 47 years of marriage. I don't have a lot of assets, but my income and expenses are matched. I love classical and sacred music (especially a capella or with a Jewish flavor.) I don't have a TV, but I do have cable internet, a ceiling projector and a drop-down screen to watch recorded or streaming video. My drinking is generally limited to wine for cough syrup (done rarely) it has been years since I did. If you want to drink socially I wouldn't get upset. I'd be your designated driver! My dad is 92, in good health until recently.(I currently care for him.) I expect to be around a good while yet. I'm 71 years old and still in good shape. I'm 6'3" and 215 lbs, could be less, have been as high as 230 lbs and got down to 195 lbs, my ideal weight, for quite a while. After letting it drift upward to 220 lbs, I have begun the process of getting back down again. I try to eat healthy, as in organic. I'm not a vegetarian. I am calm, tolerant, honest, generous, and gentlemanly. I have a sense of humor, not into sarcasm, but very quick with puns. I like animals, but have no pets, unless you count raising rabbits. I don't expect to produce any more children, but I get along well with my kids and grand kids. I'm a semi-retired auto mechanic; my business name is Auto Doc. I like hiking, browsing in yard sales, going to the coast and the mountains. I also enjoy being at home. I used to be quite a book worm before the internet - would enjoy that again. I have many books on many subjects. I've had a little college, but am primarily self-taught. I like the game of chess, too. I love an occasional Mexican or Chinese restaurant or Sizzler's or Elmer's. I enjoy movies at home from time to time. I am looking for my paraclete and help-meet - a committed, communicative companion. I'm looking for a lady that wants her life to please God and His Son, Jesus. I'd love someone who sings or plays an instrument. I'm hoping for a healthy, fit, sexy lady a little younger than me, that I can cuddle with, fix breakfast in bed for, and show unconditional love to for the rest of my life. I would like, but don't have to have, someone who has good homemaking skills: cooking, sewing, gardening, canning. I'm good with a broom and a dishwasher. I can cook, when needed. I can fold clothes and help with other domestic chores. I don't intend to drive long distances to court - no more than three hours one way. You must be willing to relocate to my home in Grants Pass. I have a very comfortable apartment on my son's property, and I get to see five of my grand kids frequently. The other four are in Wild wood, Alberta. My favorite first date would be eating at a Chinese restaurant followed immediately, or later, by a long drive to walk on the beach looking for sea shells and pretty rocks, watching the tide come in under the moon that moves it and visiting most of the time. I'd like to go to the Holy Land. I'd like to visit missionaries on foreign fields and help them with projects; I have friends and relatives serving in Brazil, Kenya, other places. Let's travel a little bit. I'm on my second passport! I don't like modern music but could put up with some of it at low volume. I wouldn't want a sports fanatic. (That is subject to some definition!) I definitely wouldn't want to contend with cigarette smoke, but if you are determined to stop smoking I might be willing to help you stop before tying the knot. I don't have tattoos, don't mind them. I think I've tried everything I have wanted to do, but would enjoy other things as well. There are some places I'd like to travel to: the Holy Land, the pyramids, Mayan and Inca ruins, the terraces in the Philippines, ancient ruins in Greece and Rome, cliff dwellings in the southwest. You probably see a trend - I like to see history up close and personal. I'd also like to visit relatives who are serving God in foreign lands like Brazil and Kenya, and help them with projects where I could.

I enjoy playing chess with a grandkid, walking the Rogue River trail, having a BBQ, fixing something for a friend, singing in an A capella quartet, talking deep theology, going camping at Loon Lake, campaigning for a worthy political candidate, cuddling on the couch with my spouse, travelling to see the handiwork of God like the Grand Canyon, Yellowstone, Banff or Jasper National Park (in Canada). I enjoy the redwoods and the Smith River. I am always up for a day or more at the coast. I've been to Disney Land several times and am game for doing it again. Lots of things are fun if you have a companion, but not so fun by yourself.

I'm looking for someone that will be complementary to my service to the King of Kings - someone who is hospitable and compassionate, one who loves God and wants to help others be under the Lordship of His Son Jesus. The ability to teach a children's Bible class would be great. I would like, but don't have to have, someone who has good homemaking skills: cooking, sewing, gardening, canning. (I'm good with a broom and a dishwasher. I can cook, if I need to. I can fold clothes and help with other domestic chores.) A real plus would be being able to play the piano or some other musical instrument and being able to sing a part in an A capelle quartet. I am also looking for some one I can cuddle with, fix breakfast for, and show unconditional love to as Christ loved the church, for the rest of my life.
