I strive to be a Jeremiah 29 man and I'm looking for a Proverbs 31 Lady. I don't have any selfish desires. I certainly don't need a woman to take care of me but as God so accurately stated - "it's not good for man to be alone". I believe my responsibility is to be a GIVER so I worry very little about what I get in life or from a relationship. As a potential husband and soul-mate, my only responsibility is to "Love" my wife. I know what that encompasses and I'm an over-achiever in every sense of the word. I prefer concerts and the Arts as opposed to spectator sports and the TV.
So why am I here?
Firstly, I haven't dated in > 40 years. I have few friends, mostly because I'm been living and working in Muslim countries for the past 8+ years. Like all of you, I'm not into the bar scene so meeting the right type of person could be challenging. The most appropriate place should be a web-site like this. Church would be another good place but for obvious reasons, I haven't been able to attend church for the past 8 years - not on a regular basis that is. It's been a most rewarding 8 years though. When you live and work in Islamic countries and you declare your faith, it isn't easy but it's definitely rewarding.
I returned to Canada in November but for the past 2 months I've been assisting relief efforts in the Philippines. I'm home now and I've decided to take some time out for myself. I'm feeling guilty but I think it's healthy! God knows the desires of my heart and I can safely leave the rest to Him.
